It was a beautiful August day, the weather was cool and there was a light breeze rustling through the trees surrounding Powder Major’s Farm. I witnessed several leaves fall from the trees, a sign that fall is coming. Curtis was set in place, directed to keep his gaze on the tree line and not to turn around until he heard Maddie’s voice or felt her tap his shoulder. Maddie walked up, her beautiful long train trailing behind her. She tapped Curtis on the shoulder and he turned around. They both gasped, mouths wide open, just gushing over the other. They started to tear up and gave each other a big hug. It was immediately evident that Curtis and Maddie are best friends and they were at ease being in each other’s presence.
I absolutely loved being at Powder Major’s Farm for Maddie and Curtis’ wedding. It was definitely a perfect day! I hadn’t seen these two since their engagement session (here) and had such a blast celebrating them on their wedding day.
There was so much joy and laughter at Maddie and Curtis’ wedding day. They are two very funny people. When I first met Maddie, we shared about our mutual love for The Office. You can imagine the smile I had on my face as Maddie and Curtis walked down the aisle together after the ceremony to The Office theme song! One of the sweetest parts of the day was witnessing their relationships with the members of their bridal party. There was so much love and appreciation for each other. They were surrounded by family and friends who loved and cared about them, and it was an honor to witness it.
Congratulations Maddie & Curtis! I feel so honored that I got to celebrate your wedding day with you. I pray that you two keep making each other laugh over the years!
