What a beautiful wedding day! We had the best weather, and Alison + Ernesto were the most calm and happy bride and groom the entire day, just wow! We started out our day in Newington, NH at Alison's parents house, the most tranquil setting that is right on the water. As we arrived everyone was finishing hair and make up, and were way ahead of schedule. It was a perfect, calm setting to begin the day, and after the first look the whole crew boarded the trolley to head to Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Rye Beach, NH. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and we stepped outside to take a few pictures outside the church, and got to feel that amazing summer seabreeze being right near the ocean. At long last we then headed to Portsmouth Country Club in Portsmouth, NH to get the celebration started!
Alison + Ernesto were greeted by family and friends upon their arrival. It was so extra special to see a lot of Ernesto's family there from Spain. Which is where the two met in 2015 while Alison was studying abroad there. According to her dad's speech it was the summer of 2016 that she decided to stay for the summer... and now everyone knows why! :)
Due to the Covid pandemic they had to jump through many hurdles to get to this day. Talk about perseverance. Alison even counted, it has been 1,199 days since they got engaged as of today. And finally the day had arrived! It also would have been her great grandparents 100th wedding anniversary today as well, with them having had the same wedding date of July 30th, 1922. And to make the day even more special, it was Alison's Mom's birthday too! A cake surprise arrived between the parent dances, and it was just so fun!
The day wrapped up for us there as we drove golf carts through the property chasing the sunset for a few more pictures. It was a truly beautiful day, for a beautiful couple, and for two new families that are now one. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! Many wishes for lots more sunny days ahead!
