Katie and Mitch’s wedding day was a New England dream! The weather and the backdrop for their day was absolutely perfect. When I first met Katie and Mitch back in Fall 2021, I knew instantly their love story was a special one.
Our day started meeting Katie, her bridesmaids, mom and grandmother at the cutest inn in Rye before heading to North Hampton for their wedding ceremony. The Union Chapel in North Hampton is tucked away into the coastline of Ocean Drive and provided a gorgeous backdrop, both inside and out, for their nuptials. The stained glass windows, ocean in the background and stone walls surrounding the church added so much romance to their wedding ceremony.
Katie and Mitch’s wedding day was filled with many sentimental touches and moments. From Katie wearing her Great Grandmother’s earrings, to Mitch, his dad and brothers all wearing matching socks, one of my favorite parts of the day was witnessing Mitch’s Pop officiate their wedding ceremony. Both Katie and Mitch are close with their families and this was felt by all throughout their wedding day - albeit small, the chapel was bursting with love for these two!
After their ceremony, we made our way over to Rye Harbor State Park, the location of where Mitch proposed to Kate (and where we took their engagement photos). As onlookers admired the new bride and groom from afar, Katie and Mitch soaked in the ocean breeze and summer sun and you could tell these two had a special moment of really taking in their day and appreciating the magic of their wedding day!
Their friends and family awaited the bride and groom at the Atlantic Grill in Rye where their reception room was filled with more special touches - one table dedicated to lost loved ones, another with photos displayed of each of their great grandparents/grandparents/parents on their wedding days. As soon as these two shared their special dances and sweet (and funny) speeches were made, this couple was ready for the dance floor where they didn’t stop until the end of the night!
It was an absolute joy to witness and capture Katie and Mitch’s wedding day. From beginning to end, it was a day filled with love, fun and special moments I know they will hold onto, forever! Congratulations!!
